Warm Up Willow

Part of our Missions funding at Church Street goes to support missionary partners across the globe. The Revs. Joe-D and Christina Dowling-Soka serve Willow UMC in Willow, Alaska. Willow UMC serves over 180 families each month through their food pantry and supplies firewood to local families who rely on a wood stove to cook and heat their homes.

In preparation for a cold winter, let’s help “Warm Up Willow” by sending hats, gloves, scarves and socks! Please bring new hats, gloves, scarves, and socks to the Welcome Center from December 12th to 26th. These will be shipped to Willow UMC by the Missions Team.

During Thanksgiving week, it was -40 degrees in Willow, Alaska. Please choose gloves that are rated for cold weather, as opposed to thinner knit options.
