We hope you’ll join UMW as we resume our in-person meetings after 18 months. Please help us show our speaker how we come out in force to help those in need. October’s UMW General Meeting and program will be Tuesday, October 12 at 11 am online via Zoom and in Parish Hall. Be assured that we will observe all church Covid safety protocols.
We will welcome as our guest speaker, Julie Dixon, Regional Coordinator for Isaiah 117 House. Isaiah 117 House is a home that provides physical and emotional support for children awaiting foster care placement in a safe and loving environment. We are also taking this opportunity to help furnish and supply their new home under construction by hosting a “Home Shower”. The following items are needed:
- White towels and washcloths
- White twin sheets
- Lightbulbs
- Board games
- Laundry detergent
- Bleach
- Variety of baby bottles
- Variety of pacifiers
Following the meeting, lunch will be served while we “shower” the Isaiah 117 House with our gifts. The cost of lunch is $10 and can be paid in advance at www.churchstreetumc.org/give or by check. Please make reservations for lunch by calling the church office at 865-524-3048 by October 8th.
