Congregational Care Committee invites anyone in our congregation to attend a volunteer training on Sunday, February 5 at 12:15 pm in Room 204 (Murphy Builders/Pathfinders Sunday School room). Rev. Diana Brown-Taylor will lead the session, which will equip participants to feel comfortable in volunteering for this important caring ministry of the church. In the training, we will learn more about making phone calls to members for monthly check-ins, visiting homebound members in their homes, and visiting members who are in assisted living or nursing homes.
Training will include helpful tips, boundary-setting, handling uncomfortable conversations, and more.
