Louise Penny writes: “Where there is love, there is courage; Where there is courage, there is peace; Where there is peace, there is God; and When you have God, you have everything.” We have all expressed love and practiced courage throughout the trials of this most uncommon year, though our personal disappointments may vary widely. These three sessions offer an opportunity for us to acknowledge our grief, to express our lament, to come to terms with the losses we have endured, and to work toward accepting the healing peace that comes through our Christian faith. Each session includes personal reflection, exercises in self-compassion, scriptural wisdom, and other healing practices.
Session leaders are Reverends Jan Wade and Diana Brown Taylor on Tuesdays: June 1, 8, & 15 in Room 201A. Please email Jan at jbwade@churchstreetumc.org or call 865-521-0264 if you are interested in attending. Due to social distancing, space is limited.
