Sterchi Lodge is located on a mountaintop along the Tennessee-North Carolina state line about 80 miles from downtown Knoxville off Interstate 40.

It is a heated, modern facility designed to be in harmony with its setting. Situated at the top of 35 wooded mountaintop acres, it borders both the Pisgah National Forest and the Cherokee National Forest. The Lodge offers beds for 42 persons and couch space for an additional 5 persons, for a total sleeping capacity of 47. The Lodge also features modern bathroom and shower facilities and a fully-equipped kitchen. A large deck with rocking chairs, space for outdoor activities, a volleyball court, one basketball goal, and picnic tables on the porch are available for relaxation and recreation. Hiking is available on the Appalachian Trail, which is located approximately one-half mile from the Lodge at Max Patch.

Sterchi Lodge is the property of Church Street United Methodist Church (CSUMC) for the promotion of Christian fellowship and the advancement of God's Kingdom. These facilities are provided and maintained by CSUMC primarily for use by its members and invited guests.

Other groups whose use of the premises does not conflict with the priorities and policies of CSUMC are also permitted to use the Lodge and associated facilities.
