The process of membership is simple and easy; however, being a part of any Christian Church involves a commitment to serve Jesus Christ and grow as disciples. It is both our mission and joy to help persons along that journey.
Those seeking membership may join on a Sunday morning during worship. Persons who become members of any United Methodist Church agree to support the work of that church with their prayers, their presence, their gifts, their service and their witness.

Also, associate pastor, Darryll Rasnake, leads a special class on "Discover Church Street." This 4-week series occurs numerous times throughout the year and is for prospective members, new members and other interested persons.

By Profession of Faith & Baptism:
If you have not been baptized and you would like to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, one of our pastors will be glad to discuss this decision with you in your home or in their office. If you have been baptized, but you have never had membership in the Church, you may be confirmed as a full member, professing your faith in Jesus Christ.
By Transfer from another United Methodist Church
Simply let a pastor know of your interest in joining the Church Street congregation. The pastor will get in touch with you. It is not necessary for you to notify your former church. CSUMC will handle the details of transfer for you.
By Transfer from another Christian denomination
This process is very much like the one above. Since you have already been baptized and confirmed, these steps are not repeated. You will be asked to take the one vow taken by all members of The United Methodist Church: “Will you be loyal to the United Methodist Church and uphold it with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness?”
